Retirement at 62

If you Google this subject, you could probably read unnecessarily complicated articles until you turn blue in the face.

If you’re approaching 62 and can’t imagine quitting your job, that’s one thing.  But if you’ve been convinced by all that you’ve read that you need to work until you’re 70 and that thought fills you with dread, consider this:

The analyses suggest that in all cases except for those with very low expected investment returns from individual retirement savings, it is economically beneficial for retirees to take Social Security benefits at age 62 and use these benefits to defer taking withdrawals from their retirement savings.
