You’re Never Too Old To Be Zen

Zen Master Ralph

Ralph Schwartz started studying Zen Buddhism on his 60th birthday.  On his 80th birthday he realized Zen.

When Ralph became a realized Zen Master at the age of 80, he became a Zen teacher and taught until he was 120.

A relatively younger student of his once inquired “If I then haven’t anything in my mind, what shall I do?”  Ralph said straight away “Throw it out!”

“But if I haven’t anything, how can I throw it out?” continued the student…

“Well,” said Ralph, “then carry it out.”
